Having worked in the field of oncology in Australia for over 30 years, he was among the first generation of Chinese medical physicists sent to Varian Medical Center in the United States for advanced training in the mid-1980s, and represented the Beijing Railway Medical College General Hospital in purchasing China's first imported Varian high-energy medical linear accelerator. In 1987, he went to Australia for further studies, earning both master's and doctoral degrees, and joined St. Vincent's Hospital as a medical physicist in 1990. He has 40 years of clinical and teaching experience in oncology radiotherapy both domestically and internationally, and has provided guidance on radiotherapy techniques for various types of tumors for many years.
